Hello Spine team,
I have a feature request that I think could be very useful for collaborative projects.
It would be great to have a way to add annotations or notes directly inside a Spine project, similar to the markers in After Effects.
For example, one possible implementation could be:
- Add specific annotation markers to the timeline, similar to After Effects markers.
- Add a notes panel or notepad that is saved within the Spine project.
- Allow users to place text annotations somewhere in the workspace that are visible while working but are not included in the final export.
The main reason I think this would be useful is that, in a team environment, multiple people often need to open and review the same Spine project.
Currently, if we want to leave explanations or instructions for other team members, we often have to keep those notes separately from the Spine project. This can make it difficult to keep the project and its documentation together.
It would be very helpful if we could leave notes directly in the project, such as:
- Explanations about how a particular setup works
- Things that need to be checked or changed later
- Notes for the next person working on the project
- Reasons behind certain rigging or animation decisions
- Descriptions of specific animation sections on the timeline
Having these notes stored together with the Spine project would make it much easier for multiple people to understand and maintain the same project without having to refer to separate documents.
I think this could be a very useful feature for team-based workflows, especially for larger projects where many people need to review and work on the same Spine files.
And as always, thank you for continuing to listen to and consider so many of my suggestions. I really appreciate how open you are to user feedback and how many ideas you have been willing to consider.
Thank you again for your time and for considering this suggestion!
