  • Photoshop to Spine - not a valid JSON?

We're using Photoshop 5.1 and we've made a .psd of a fish split into moveable parts. Then we installed and used this script: https://github.com/EsotericSoftware/spine-scripts/tree/master/photoshop to turn the psd into a JSON.

A JSON is generated, as well as an "images" folder containing all the layers as seperate pngs.

Everything LOOKS good.

However, when we try to use "import data" to open the file in Spine, we get this error message: "An error occurred while importing the skeleton. Please be sure to chose a valid skeleton, JSON, or binary file."

Is there any way someone could check the .psd to see if there's something that's making the script not work? I am completely out of ideas right now.

I'm able to import your JSON into both 3.7.94 and 3.8.33-beta. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work for you. What version of Spine are you using? Can you post your spine.log?

Windows: <user home folder>\SpineTrial\spine.log
Mac: <user home folder>/Library/Application Support/SpineTrial/spine.log
Linux: <user home folder>/.spinetrial/spine.log

I see you have a very old spineboy project in the background. You might want to re-download and re-install Spine to get the latest launcher and example projects.
