Spine 4,1 beta UV incorrect mapping bug
hello,
i've recently upgraded my spine version to the latest beta version and also upgraded some of my animations.
but when i exported them to unity, some parts of the meshes were incorrectly placed, some parts were cut off and was minor uv mapping problem, i have whitespace trimming option disabled, so that wouldnt be the case.
i have also tried exporting one animation(that was not already upgraded) with old stable version and new beta version (the photos i've uploaded here)
as you can see, stable version has correct uvs, while latest beta mapped them incorrectly.
sad part is, that, once you upgrade animations to the newer version, you cant change them back, so i will have to re do all the work.
is there anything else i can do?
thanks in advance
Please send us your Spine project and images to contact@esotericsoftware.com.
i have sent it just now
Thank you for the project. I can confirm that JSON exports are not working in the Spine Runtimes 4.1-beta. SKEl exports do work however. We are investigating the issue and report here once it's fixed.
Separate from that, I noticed JSON files in the ZIP file you sent. Those haven't been exported by Spine. How did you create them? Also, the export settings for JSON export for version 3.8. You can't use exports for 3.8 with Spine Runtimes 4.1. The versions have to match.
okay thank you
no i have older run time in unity so the versions match in editor,
never mind that other json file :d, so if i export with SKEI extention the problem should be solved?
This is fixed in Spine Editor 4.1.21-beta which we'll release soon. You won't have to redo your animations. But you have to export for 4.1 and use the 4.1 Spine Runtimes. Thank you for reporting!
