  • Regarding the exclusion of 0 from the scale range in 4.2

I understand that there are concerns about the ambiguity and potential for errors that could arise from including 0 in the scales x and y.
However, entering 0 does not change the value itself. It would be more convenient if entering 0 would change the value to a number close to 0, such as 0.0001. It seems cumbersome to have to enter 0.0001 manually each time.

Thank you for always providing quick updates and answers. I appreciate it.

    Enter Thanks for your suggestion.
    In recent versions it is already implemented in the setup mode. Do you want a value like 0.0001 to be set when 0 is entered in the animate mode as well?

      Typing 0 and unfocusing the text box ignores the value, but if you press enter you can set 0 in animate mode. In setup mode trying to set 0 by pressing enter gives you a very small number (because 0 is not useful in setup mode).

        First of all, I apologize for any misunderstandings I may have made. I also realize that my previous explanation was not entirely accurate. I often change both scales x and y when working.

        Therefore, I enter a value for x and then use Tab to move to y.
        For example, if you change [1,1] to [2, 3], you can type 2 in x -> Tab -> 3 in y.
        However, if I change the value from [1,1] to [0, 0], it is not possible to enter 0 for x -> Tab -> 0 for y.
        If I enter 0 in x and press the Tab key, the value of x does not change to 0 and the value stays the same and moves to y.

        When using Enter, it seems to have been inconvenient to change x to 0, click y again, and then change it to 0.

        Thank you for your time

        I think I may have misunderstood something. Thank you for your help!

        In summary, my opinion is that it would be better to input the scale 0 value using the Tab key.

          Enter You are certainly right, if you enter 0 and press the Tab key, it will return to the original value because 0 is an invalid value. However, scale 0 is a value that should be handled with care, so I think the current behavior of always having to press Enter to set scale X/Y to 0 makes some sense.

          It might help us if you could describe the circumstances under which you are willing to enter scale 0 so often.

            Misaki Thank you for the detailed explanation. I understand exactly why you set it up that way. Indeed, handling the value of 0 requires caution. Now that my thoughts are organized, I feel at ease. 🙂
