Error when running PhotoshopToSpine in Photoshop CC 2018
Hi,
I have updated Photoshop to CC 2018 and downloaded latest PhotoshopToSpine.jsx from github. When I try to run this script I'm getting an error:
Line: 539
-> <td id="LC19" class="blob-code blob-code-inner js-file-line"><span class="pl-k">try</span> {</td>
Are you familiar with this problem? Do you know the solution?
Thanks in advance.
PS: I'm running Photoshop on macOS Sierra 10.12.6
Is your workspace CMYK? (convert RGB in this case)
how is your level structure?(:
(and Czesc!)
Cześć!
The workspace is in RGB.
What do you mean by level structure? If you meant layers, than they are all flat and no groups.
Files that worked with previous versions of the script don't work right now.
Do you have any ideas?
Here we had a longer conversation about how to set up a Photoshop file with the new script customisable character
if this still doesn't help, please send your file to contact@esotericsoftware.com and I'll look at it (:
Thanks, I'll look into it
I have tried to run PhotoshopToSpine.jsx on Windows 10 with new empty psd (I run script from "File > Scripts > Browse"). But I still get this error message instead of popup with export options.
When running the script shows an error with HTML tags, it means the script was downloaded incorrectly. There is no HTML in the script. Be sure to right click the link here to download the script:

It works now!
As you said, I must have downloaded it incorrectly. After I cloned the repository and used the script from there it worked.
Thanks a lot for your time
Just letting you know (might be a super obvious side effect):
Whenever I have a layer locked and I run the script... I get:
Which is easily circumvent by not locking layers before exporting.
We hadn't encountered that yet, thanks PeterBacall! It is fixed in the latest PhotoshopToSpine script.
Thank you for the quick update Nate!
- It seems to work now but not if the locked layer is hidden (with the eye visibility thingy).
- I also noticed it always exports the top layer, even if it is hidden and I've selected "Ignore hidden layers".
- While I'm at it, I miss the feature when you could skip creating a Json (I always have to throw the Json when re-exporting a set of updated skins).
Small things, but frustrating.
We've fixed those 3 issues. Thanks for your feedback!
That was fast! I do not know how to show my appreciation enough so I give you this :cake: King!
Cake! Now I'm fatter! :drunk:
